History of Yosemite

Yosemite National Park was established in 1890, making it one of the oldest national parks in the United States. Its preservation was championed by naturalist John Muir, whose writings inspired President Theodore Roosevelt to protect the area. The park’s granite formations, shaped by glaciers, and its diverse ecosystems have been a source of inspiration for centuries.

Today, Yosemite remains a symbol of conservation, offering visitors a chance to connect with nature while preserving its pristine landscapes for future generations.
